The Caterpillars
(6 weeks to 18 Months)
If you are looking for a safe, secure "home away from home" where your child can learn, play and grow. We have designed a nurturing, creative world for infants to help their minds develop through our curriculum and age appropriate lesson plans. We begin sign language as early as four months. Watch your infant take the first steps toward a bright future when sharing his or her early developmental experiences with Yolanda’s Playhaus and Learning Center.
Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, learning, feeding and sleeping. We use these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare your infant for life. Our highly trained teachers and staff offer a nurturing and creative environment for infants to expand their minds. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child.
The Crickets
(18 Months to 30 Months)
They walk, they talk, and they begin to develop relationships with each other. Your toddler has so many things he or she wants to see and do, and we'll be there to guide your child every step of the way.
Toddlers learn through sensory experiences that enhance their cognitive, language, motor and social skills. They turn ideas into words and phrases to better express themselves, and practice the value of sharing and cooperating through group play. Children at this stage start to develop friendships and gain confidence as they use their words and thoughts to interact with others. It is important for children to express themselves creatively and, through our Toddlers program; we encourage all children to develop their unique skills and interests. We began to prepare your toddler to excel in preschool through our excellent age and time appropriate curriculum and daily lesson with include Spanish and sign language.
Butterflies
(2 ½ - 3 ½ )
Research indicates that actively exploring and interacting with their environment help children learn — especially children between the ages of 2 and 3. That's why Yolanda’s Playhaus & Learning Center provides plenty of active learning opportunities. It's the proven way for children to develop their skills. Our teachers use our High/Scope philosophy of learning by doing as a guide and follow a curriculum based on The Creative Curriculum for Toddlers.
The Grasshoppers
(3-5 Years)
A preschooler's world opens up in new ways as children improve coordination, learn complex games, and begin to interact more with others. Children learn by doing, and at Yolanda’s Playhaus and Learning Center, your preschooler will strengthen his or her cognitive skills with plenty of hands-on activities.
Our curriculum is organized into topic-based units that address complex topics that encourage children to develop their skills and confidence. Each unit incorporates the early content standards which in include the follow subject area; language arts, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development. We also teach sign language, Spanish, and take routine trips to the library. We prepare your grasshopper to be ahead of the educational curve and excel in all subject areas.
Aviators
5-12 years - Schoolagers
Your child shouldn’t stop learning once school hours are over. At Yolanda’s Playhaus & Learning Center, we believe in offering your children a well-balanced day of learning and fun. We offer before and after-school program planned by our professional staff that allows your child to play and learn with other children of the same age, designed to provide care and continued learning in a safe environment that keeps children involved, interested and entertained. It's not just fun, it's educational. We incorporate enrichment activities to provide before and after-school engagement along with outdoor play.
As children grow and develop, they should always be learning. So learning shouldn't end with the school year.
